Reading Band – Participants will bring their concert instruments and get to read some cool music and have some time with engaging conductors, making music with brothers and sisters across the district!. Music Hour is going to be super awesome this year! We have a ton of opportunities so there is really an option for everyone to participate in! Everyone gathers to vote on new changes, learn a whole ton of new information and meet sisters and brothers from across the Southwest. Area Workshops are a fantastic way to meet people and get excited about learning how to be a better chapter before convention gets here. Submissions will be accepted at Be sure to include your name, chapter, organization, and a headshot!. Visit the website for full information on how to submit articles and the theme for the Spring New Alto!! This year, in order to be eligible for top chapter awards, TBS chapters must have a submission in either the fall or spring New Alto. Writing in the New Alto is a great way to have your voice be heard and share your stories and experiences. Also, if you are a chapter President, Membership Educator, Service or Sisterhood coordinator, Treasurer, or Historian, you can connect with other sisters with your same office, ask questions, and everything! If you are one of those offices, contact the respective district officer through Facebook and they’ll get you added! (Each of the titles is a link to their profile so you can add them and send them a message!). Plus, if you aren’t already connected with the TBS SWD Facebook group, you should totally do that!. If you have something in mind, just fill out the application and send it in before March 1. The Joint Action Committee funds are the best kept secret of the Southwest.Each year, the District VPSP creates a scrapbook, but the scrapbook couldn’t exist without pictures from chapters! The Monthly Photo Contest is a way for chapters to get recognized for the great things they are doing in a new medium. Again! Has your chapter put on a fundraiser of any kind? Want to help others put on successful fundraisers too? All you need to do is submit a short description and basic planning instructions to Tyler Gorshing at Submit photos to the Monthly Photo Contest. Submit projects to the Fundraiser Database. Did you even know there was a Rush Event Database being created? If your chapter has ever hosted an event to give information to potential new members, you can submit to this!!
